Join us for a fun winter day of Orienteering on February 17th. We will also provide an easy, point to point course for newcomers to the sport. Early bird prices are available until Feb 15th 2019.

    Directions

    Take Highway 404 to the Davis Drive exit at Newmarket, Ontario. Go east on Davis Drive approximately 6 km to Kennedy Road. Turn north (left) on Kennedy Road and travel for about 1 km to the end of the road. Please park tightly along either side of the road. Note that there is limited parking, so carpooling is encouraged. There will be limited facilities on site. If you need washroom access, the nearest is located at the Esso Station at Davis Drive and Woodbine Avenue.

    Format

    The length of this run will depend on a participant’s O-cup handicap. This race will feature the O-Cup Box which consists of a set of 6 to 8 checkpoints which participants may visit in any order. Particpants may skip check points in the box equal to their handicap point total. Handicap points are awarded as follows:

    Cost

    BEFORE February 15th

    • Adults: $20/person but ONLY $10 for TOC/UKR members
    • Youth: $10/person (16 & under) but ONLY $5 for TOC/UKR member
    • Beginner: $10/person
    • Family: $40.00 (2 adults and up to 3 children aged 16 & under)
    • Community Groups(cubs, scouts, guides, cadets, etc): $10.00/person

    AFTER February 15th

    • Adults: $25/person but ONLY $15 for TOC/UKR members
    • Youth: $15/person (16 & under) but ONLY $10 for TOC/UKR members
    • Beginner: $15/person
    • Family: $50.00 (2 adults and up to 3 children aged 16 & under)
    • Community Groups(cubs, scouts, guides, cadets, etc): $15.00/person

    Notes

    SportIdent electronic timing will be used at this event. Your entry fee includes the use of a SportIdent electronic timing card (SI card). If you have your own SI card, please provide the number when registering.

    PRIZES: the usual generous selection of prizes will be awarded to the Top 5 finishers as well as selection of draw prizes. Come one, come all!
