Each team receives a map that shows ALL of the control points.  Each control has a point value which is indicated on the map. Controls that are distant from the start/finish area and/or difficult to find, have higher point values.  The controls may be found in any order that the team wishes. The team that collects the highest number of total points during a set period (60 minutes for this meet) will be the winner unless another team collects the same number of points in a shorter time. On the other hand, a team that does not return until the set period has expired will have penalty points subtracted from their point total. The penalty points may quickly reduce a team’s net points, perhaps even reducing them to zero! Wear a watch, look at it and do not return late!
